"Be the Change, Be a Blessing"
Our "Be a Blessing" outreach initiatives aim to extend support and hope to those in need and to positively impact local and global communities. The initiatives inspire and empower individuals facing challenging circumstances through acts of kindness, support, and generosity. Our goal is to foster a sense of hope, agape love, belonging, and dignity while striving to improve the world, one act of compassion and one Blessing at a time.
Wee Blessings
Through the WEE Blessings Outreach Program, M.I.E. partners with the Greater Hampton Roads Diaper Bank to support families with children (birth to age five) and our esteemed elderly population. Each month, we provide essential resources, including child and adult diapers, to families in need.
In addition to diapers, we offer other vital supplies such as hygiene products, bus passes, and gas cards, etc. to help ease the burdens of daily life. This work is made possible by the generosity of our Purpose Partners, whose invaluable donations help us continue to meet the needs of our community.
Together, we are uplifting families by providing essential resources that Restore dignity, Support daily needs, and Empower individuals to thrive.
Blessings of Hope
The Blessings of Hope Outreach Program is committed to addressing food insecurity with compassion and care. We provide monthly meals and "snack packs" to support individuals experiencing housing instability and at-risk school-aged children.
Additionally, we partner with an area elementary school to operate a food pantry, ensuring that students and their families have consistent access to essential resources.
Through these efforts, we bring nourishment, hope, and stability to those navigating difficult circumstances. Each meal, snack pack, and pantry item is a reminder that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.
Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate community—one act of kindness at a time.

BackPack Blessings
Backpack Blessings
Our Backpack Blessings outreach provides needed school supplies for at-risk youths in August and throughout the school year.
We also provide needed hygiene products for transient populations, women in domestic violence shelters, and youths whose families need additional resources for stabilization purposes.
Our Mothers' Heart
This outreach initiative sponsors Mother's and Father's Day events for women in domestic violence shelters and men who reside in sober houses. Our goal is to show compassion, empower change, and celebrate successes.
Felicia's Heart Scholarship Fund
In memory of Felica A. Miller, a phenomenal mother and servant-leader who was a blessing in the lives of so many families. She encouraged others to give back and to serve in their communities. The fund will award scholarships to women transitioning from local shelters to their own homes; single mothers pursuing vocational or higher educational goals; and book stipends to college students.
